Picture above shows a daihatsu mira L200S model engine and from the arrow in the picture shows that the location of the actuator near the turbo unit.

To install...disconnect tube 1 from the boost control solenoid (7). Cut tube 1 and insert end of bleed valve into the tube. Make sure the valve is inserted the right way-it will usually have an arrow showing the direction of airflow-the arrow should point AWAY from the T-junction. Secure the valve to the chassis somewhere. All done. Easy eh!

Now to adjust the valve for the desired boost. Anticlockwise for more boost, clockwise for less boost. Adjustment of boost can be done two ways. Firstly, you can do it by trial and error and adjust the valve little by little until you get it right. If boost is too much the engine will cut out. Keep adjusting the valve until the engine first starts to cut out-then wind it back a bit and that should be the right amount. Second way is with a boost gauge. Same method only now you know how much boost there is...and it won’t take as long. Keep winding up boost until it is around 12.5psi on full throttle in second gear or until engine cuts out. If the engine cuts out, just wind the boost back a bit. I would recommend the boost gauge method as it is more accurate. Happy boosting and remember…
